(Medio Marathon de Madrid)
Time of year: April
Value for money: 5
Crowd support: 4
Competitors: Approximately 8000
Locality: As the capital of Spain, there is everything that you could want/need all around you.
Getting there: Madrid is well-connected by train, bus and plane.
My experience: A large event in the centre of Madrid. As in all of the events I’ve done in Spain, there’s a very good crowd and a lot of support for the runners. You run past some of the city’s main sights and although the weather was very cold and windy I enjoyed the race and ran a new personal best. Madrid is a great city and well-worth a visit for a running weekend and we spent the following day sightseeing and enjoying the atmosphere.
