My experience:

This was another fantastic race venue. The lake is beautiful and the race very well organised. It was sunny and warm but after the terrible spring we’d had this year, I was really worried about the open water swim.

Luckily they told us it was probably the warmest lake in all of Austria and Germany due to its geographical location. So then I could relax and look forward to the race the next morning.

There is not too much I can say about the race itself. I was pleased with every aspect of my race and although all of the distances were a bit short (bike was 86km, run 20km and swim was probably about 1600m), I more than outdid my previous bests and finished in 4h08, with my average power over 20 watts higher than at the same point in the season last year!
