Course: Bike course is quite hilly, run also has some hillls
Competitors: Approximately 150
Locality: Zdar Nad Sazavou is a medium size town in Moravia in the Czech Republic. There are a number of tourist attractions in the town such as a church called Zelena Hora and a chateau which are both well worth visiting.
Getting there: The best way to get to Zdar Nad Sazavou if you’re travelling from outside abroad is to fly to Prague or Brno and then take a bus or train.
Webpage: http://www.axiomorbitt.cz/ (only in Czech, but I can help if necessary)
My experience: The triathlon took place in the reservoir and on the day the weather was grey, rainy and about 12 degrees.I was wondering why I had come out when I could be at home! Luckily the weather improved a bit just before the start and I managed to swim quite well and then the weather chilled off for the bike ride!
Fortunately it was only 40km on the bike and then we could start running. The run was quite difficult and I was pleased to finish and have a ot cup of tea!
